This inviting retreat is a private unit inside a home. You'll have your own private entrance and space (almost like a duplex). It's nestled among towering trees with lake views. Enormous sliding glass doors let in natural light. Step outside onto the spacious front deck where you can breathe in the fresh air and have a drink as the sun sets over the water. 2 miles to Umstead State Park 6 miles to RDU airport 5 miles to Brier Creek's shopping & restaurants 10 miles to Research Triangle Park.
Good to know
This is a separate private unit within a home (almost like a duplex) . The owner lives in the main house and sometimes uses the front and back decks. There are two dogs in the main area of the home and you may hear them from time to time. There is one thermostat for the house and we will adjust it for you the best we can. The kitchenette has a large microwave that doubles as a convection oven, a toaster oven and a two burner hotplate. There are pots and pans, cooking utensils, basic spices, dishes, and flatware. A twin pull out can be set up for a third person (in the same room as the queen bed). Please let us know if you need it set up.
Other Details to Note
The driveway is quite steep. You are welcome to park at the top of the driveway on the left side of the driveway OR on the street if you'd rather not have to back down the steep driveway. This property uses well water which is high in iron content. Water can sometimes smell like sulfur (not harmful) and creates stains in the toilet bowl and sink. The entire unit is cleaned thoroughly between each guest, but there may be well water stains on the porcelain sink and toilet bowl.
